DROP SUGAR COOKIES

1 c. shortening, softened

2 c. sugar

2 eggs

2 tsp. baking soda

4 tsp. baking powder

1/4 tsp. salt

1 tsp. vanilla

1 c. milk

5 c. flour

Cream together shortening, sugar and eggs. Mix in baking soda and powder, salt and vanilla. Add milk and flour alternately to creamed mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes.

COOKIE ICING:

6 tbsp. butter (room temp.)

2 tsp. vanilla

1 lb. confectioners’ sugar

4-5 tbsp. milk

Mix all ingredients together for 1 minute. Spread on cooled cookies.
